Singapore’s Golden Jubilee, National Day Celebrations 2015 promises to be larger, louder, and brighter than before.

In the lead-up to the day of celebrations, students can expect a range of National Day activities to immerse themselves in the National Day mood. At the Inner Plaza, there will be a National Day Polaroid Booth where staff and students can take free photos with their friends and pen down their tributes, in the form of dreams and memories, for Singapore. In addition, an exhibition of Pioneer Generation Stories created by all C1 classes will also be organised to allow students to appreciate Singapore’s past as we contemplate its future. Finally, there was the LEGO package each class was tasked to create meaningful national symbols with, which are proudly displayed and exhibited in the college reception.

On the day of celebrations, celebrate traditional games of the past, such as Chapteh, Eraser Fight, Snap, and Hopscotch at our National Day Games Carnival.

The celebrations will end off with a concert in the hall. Before the sing-along session, students will get a chance to witness the unsealing of Hwa Chong’s Time Capsule, which was buried 25 years ago, and the sealing of our new time capsule, which will only be unearthed in another 25 years. After which, expect a spirited performance from Hwa Chong Choir and a sing-along session of some of Singapore’s most popular NDP songs!

The 3rd Students’ National Education Council  has been working tirelessly to make all of this happen. We hope you eagerly look forward to National Day Celebrations this year!
