As the moon gets fuller each night, we look towards a joyous occasion where the Hwa Chong family – teachers, students and alumni alike – reunite on this beautiful night and enjoy each other’s company under the bright moonlight. While reminiscing about unforgettable memories, we celebrate the strong, lifelong bonds forged from our time in Hwa Chong.
The much awaited Mid-Autumn Festival (MAF) celebrations are around the corner again! Cannot wait to join in our celebrations? Read on to know what to expect on the night itself.

There are a host of exciting performances by various CCA groups lined up for you at MAF 2016, including Lion Dance, Chinese Orchestra, Chinese Dance, WeYoung and Wushu!

The highlight of the entire event – the Grand Light-Up. Under the backdrop of a beautiful night sky, be dazzled by the spectacular display of lights, together with the blazing fireball and the dancing water jets of the fountain, as they come together in musical synchrony. With your friends and loved ones, we promise an unforgettable moment to relish in.

SoDaChe
Feel the Hwa Chong spirit burning within you in our traditional SoDaChe session! Immerse yourself in the moment, indulge in your recollection of good old memories and celebrate the bonds formed as you revisit the various songs, dance and cheers that form an integral part of the Hwa Chong culture.
“Many things have changed since we moved on”, so for those who may be unsure of the way, here’s how you can get to Hwa Chong!
By MRT:
You can take the Downtown Line to Tan Kah Kee Station (DT8), and exit by Exit A.
By Bus:
Bus services available: 66, 67, 74, 151, 154, 156, 157, 170, 171, 174, 852, 961
You can alight at
- Tan Kah Kee Station (Bus Stop B41051) along Bukit Timah Road
- Opposite Tan Kah Kee Station (Bus Stop B41069) along Dunearn Road and cross the overhead bridge
Current students and alumni can enter from the Tan Kah Kee gate. Please be reminded to bring along your student pass or NRIC to access the turnstiles. Members of the public may enter from Gates 2-5.
By Car
You can drive into Hwa Chong via Gates 2 and 3 (along Bukit Timah Road) or Gates 4 and 5 (along Namly Avenue)
*As parking space is extremely limited, guests who intend on driving are encouraged to park and ride.
