Week of Welfare “WOW”!
July 23rd, 2012 by IT DirectorHey Hwa Chong! For this week, the 39th Welco brings to you the first Week of Welfare (WOW) of our council term! WOW is an initiative that welco organizes for the student population every school term! For the upcoming WOW, a few things will be going on:
1. External vendors will be setting up their stalls in the canteen for all 5 days. For Monday and Tuesday, Cocoa Trees will be selling their famous brand of chocolates and other products in the canteen! For Wednesday to Friday, Soyato will be selling their renowned frozen yogurt in the canteen! Unfortunately, due to restrictions from the school only one external vendor will be allowed to set up a stall in the canteen every day.
2. A Treasure Hunt! From Tuesday onwards, Candy-like items will be hidden around the school and the CT group that finds the most number of hidden ‘candies’ stand to win vouchers from Island Creamery. You might be wondering what these ‘candies’ are so here’s a photo of it:
CT Reps please pass all the ‘candies’ that your class has found to the councillors on duty at the welfare room on Friday, from 4.30pm – 6.00pm, and your class might win the attractive prizes as follows:
1st placed CT group – $25 worth of Island Creamery vouchers
2nd placed CT group – $15 worth of Island Creamery vouchers
3rd placed CT group – $10 worth of Island Creamery vouchers
3. Suggestion Board. A suggestion board will be placed near the steps to the canteen. You can pen down any constructive feedback/suggestions that/ you might have for us on the post-it pads provided and pin them on the board! This is gentle reminder that the board is for constructive feedback so please do not vandalize or abuse the board! J
