Break time! Blocks Encouragement Post #2

June 19th, 2012 by IT Director

Hi again! For this post, we are going to share some of our personal tips on revision and studying. Hope you will find them useful!

Tip 1: For the J1s, this is our first time sitting for JC block tests and many of us do not know what to expect. Hence, do seek advice from our teachers and J2 seniors! Also, try yout best to set personal goals – these goals can serve as motivation to work hard and improve.

Tip 2: Do not simply memorise the notes blindly –  attempting some past year papers and other relevant questions will be very beneficial in turning your knowledge into practice! Timed exercises would be helpful as well, since they can help to consolidate your concepts and prepare you for the examination conditions.

Tip 3: Find a good time and place to study! Some might find mornings more suitable for revision, while others might prefer afternoons. Irrespective of your preference, do plan your time around these golden hours! The right place is very important as well – for quiet learners, libraries and homes would be good, whereas a study session will certainly help group learners.

That’s all from us! If anyone has any other tips on revising for blocks, please share them with everyone through commenting on this post or through the chat box! Your advice will be greatly appreciated! :)

And finally, here is today’s motivational quote and joke:
