Hot Off The Press: Water Polo Guys, Volleyball Guys, Touch Rugby Girls, Squash, Tennis
April 13th, 2011 by CCA PROToday saw even more of our sports teams fight their hearts out in hopes of winning the championships, with wins across all sports with conclusive matches!
First up are our Touch Rugby Girls, who won 4-1 against NJC and 5-2 against RJC, and made it 5 wins out 5 matches. Keep it up truggers! Show them the champion within you!
Up next are our Squashers. The Guys won 4-1 against ACSI, while the Girls won 4-1 as well, against ACJC, with both teams emerging as the top schools for each of their groups. The wins means that both our Guys and Girls have gotten into the semi-finals, where they will compete with ACJC this Friday for the boys, and NYJC next Wednesday for the girls. Good job Squashers! One step closer to winning the title this year!
Not to be outdone, our Volleyball Boys grinded out a laborious 25-20 , 27-25 victory against ACJC. Though it was not an easy match they have yet to concede a game! Keep improving, boys. We know what you’ve got to show!
The Tennis boys and girls both won against PJC and TPJC respectively, with a resounding score of 5-0! Congratulations, and keep striving for greater heights. You guys are doing great!
Last but not least is the highly-anticipated Finals between our HC Water Polo Guys Team and their long-time arch-rivals RJC. Unfortunately, after 3 full quarters of match time, rain and lightning started brewing, resulting in the match being postponed to TOMORROW MORNING, 14 APRIL, 9.30am. Trailing 4-5, our Polo Boys definitely have work to do tomorrow. But as mentioned before, nothing is impossible when you are mighty. Go Boys! Show them every ounce of HC SPIRIT within you!
