Want to try sandwiches and bread but you aren’t fond of subway? Try Simply Bread! Located just a stone’s throw away from the school at Guthrie House(Sixth Avenue), it is just a 5 min bus ride (10min walk) there.
Simply bread boasts of an interesting and wide selection of bread and sandwiches. HCunite went to Simply Bread to get a taste of the food served there.
Simply Bread serves two main menus, the all-day breakfast set meals (all-day, which really means that you can enjoy breakfast even in the last late afternoon) as well as regular set meals.
HCunite decided to try the all time favourite, Brunch Set, which comes with toast, two eggs of our choice (we chose omelette) and meat of your choice (we decided to try their ham steaks). The toasts were just right, as they were toasted to the right crispiness. The omelette was cooked to perfection, as it was moist and soft on the inside while tender and fragrant on the outside. Simply bread offered a generous slice of ham steaks (by steaks, it means that the ham is not the normal mediocre slices you see in super markets, but rather a thicker and meatier slice of ham) that had a tint of honey, making HCunite crave for more.
Not really ready for a whole meal? Try the different breads available at Simply Bread! Though named Simply Bread, the wide variety of breads does not make your choice any simpler. Breads available include Orange Fantan, Raspberry Twist, Sticky bun, sugar roll, amongst others. Do request for your bread to be heated up before it is served!
Though Simply bread takes a while longer to prepare the set meals and cost a bit more than conventional bread shops, HCunite recommends this place to all the bread lovers and sandwich enthusiast out there, as the ingredients here are generous and definitely delectable. The quiet and peaceful ambience also makes it a nice spot for you to study while enjoying your sugar rolls.
