35th OAC presents – BIKE HIKE 2010: Accelebration!
April 2nd, 2010 by HCuniteHey everyone,
Bike Hike is BACK! The theme for this year is Accelebration, as we celebrate the joys of cycling along with Singapore’s hosting of the YOG. Held on the 28th of May, this year’s bike hike promises to be BIGGER and BETTER, with more participants from all JCs around Singapore coming together to break once again the Singapore record (that we ourselves set in 2009) for the largest number of people in an overnight cycling event.

Bike Hike is an annual cycling event organised by Tiong Bahru YEC and supported by Hwa Chong OAC, in which you will get to cycle, along with your friends, through a route of 80km around Singapore. There will be sufficient rest stops along the way for you to hydrate and refresh yourselves as well.
Look forward to a night of fun, accompanied by views of the beautiful night landscape as we wind our way past notable landmarks such as the Singapore River, the Singapore flyer, Haw Par Villa and more. We’ve also kept some of the familiar thrills from last year such as the adrenaline-rush inducing down slope from the old race track, fondly referred to as Initial D.
Also, expect collaterals and freebies from our sponsors Zouk, PreciousThots and many more, as well as the LIMITED EDITION Accelebration T-shirt that comes with your goodie bag! So hesitate no more, form your groups, and submit your registration forms(as attached) to any friendly OAC member today! You may team up with students from other JCs or Polytechnics as well, or simply join as an individual and get to know more people!
Feel free to contact Daniel from 09S63 at 96699580 or Jerrold from 09A13 at 97475833 should there by any further enquiries, or simply send us an email at bikehike2010@gmail.com. Visit our event blog at http://bikehike2010.blogspot.com for more details and updates!
Registration closes on 7th May so hurry before it’s too late!

命运. 黄城
March 4th, 2010 by CCA PRO

An overview of our 3 shows this year!
A person who does not know how to direct his fate will be mocked by Fate.
- Despite his confidence, the impoverished artist’s talents were not appreciated.
In the darkness, he heard Fate’s quarrel.
–This world is full of hypocrisy and pain; you can only sink (into despair).
–The world may be full of suffering, but a person who can grasp his fate and strive towards his goals will always find a bright path open to him.
Pain and happiness; Hope and disappointment. An endless struggle……
Will the appearance of a merchant with an eye for talent change the course of the artist’s life? Will he help the artist onto the road to success, or will he cheat the artist out of his last penny? How will the course of the artist’s life change. - To the two sisters, the meaning of the word “sisterhood” was shaken the day their parents departed from the world.
The world which they knew had changed. Trying to grope their way around in this new, sinister world, one shook away her hand, becoming rebellious and defiant; the other took care of her, wishing to play her part as a responsible sister.
How many ups and downs must the sisters face on the bumpy road, how many twists of fate must they endure before their tender sisterhood can recover?
Will a blind man who lives in a pitch-dark world, yet who possesses a heart that shines with the radiance of the sun, be the solution to their problems? - Is it always natural for the son to be the heir to the father’s business?
When the harsh reality catches up with his ideals and ambitions for his future, what will he do?
When traditional values are in direct conflict with modern ideas, which will he choose?
When his sword is directed at his family instead of his enemy, how should he respond?
Will he reach hope for the future down a road that is already paved for him, or will he meet a dead end?
Is he truly helpless against a destiny which has already been decided for him? Or will he shake off the shackles to ride towards a bright new horizon?
