• 胜者为王:Prelude to Track and Field Finals 2016

18 sessions have passed and our athletes are gearing up for their final lap at the National Stadium this Friday, 29 April 2016.  The position of every athlete adds on to the score tally of the school, and they have fought incredibly hard in the quest for the divisional championships. Here are the rankings so far!

    Track & Field (1)

Our A Div girls are neck and neck, even up till the last day!! The final session this Friday is absolutely critical — every win will go a long way in our battle to retain the A Div girls championship trophy.

Our A Div boys have done well too, ranking 1st runners up thus far. There’s still 5 more upcoming events this Friday, and Team Hwa Chong is ready to show our might!!

Leading Singapore Sports School by 38 points, 2016 might be the year we wrestle back the B div title. It was 2013 when Sports School upset our 22 year reign in the B Div. Our flame may flicker, but it’s never to be extinguished. Here we are fighting in veer, to dominate the track once again.

35 points ahead of Raffles, the C Div boys championship trophy is within striking distance as we enter the final session. This is a division we have triumphed times and again. In fact since we first won it in 1982, we have only lost the title twice, to Victoria School in 1992 and 2000. This tradition of excellence is what we seek to defend and our athletes will definitely do us proud in the process.

胜者为王 –  the track and field finals promise to be intense and exciting, involving the various sporting powerhouses in Singapore. Our athletes have also trained extremely hard for this. Let’s show them our support, and it’s time to await the tiger’s roar.
